Plans have been lodged with Donegal County Council for a new windfarm near Dungloe.
Irish Premium Renewable Energy Ltd claims the development, in the townland of Croaghnashallog, could generate enough energy to power 3,300 homes in the area.
The proposed windfarm will include five turbines with an overall tip height of 86 metres.
The site, 2km from Dungloe, will span a total area of over 90 hectares.
According to planning documents, the applicant says it’s a family-owned and managed company, ‘local to Dungloe’.
