ITV Racing is back for two days from Newmarket, plus a race from Worcester this afternoon. It all starts here with the Listed Rosemary Stakes for fillies over 1m.
There is a chance Elwateen is different class to this field, but the safe each-way bet is NEVER LET GO for Ed Walker and Kieran Shoemark.
The consistent type was a terrific winner of the Sandringham at Royal Ascot from the re-opposing Cajole and she went on after that to finish a good second at Haydock when having every chance. Stays well, just needs to probably improve 1lb or 2lb.
Up in class now for the Group 3 Princess Royal Stakes for fillies and mares over 1m4f. Revoir has never quite lived up to her billing, so this should give a good chance to Godolphin’s SPIRITED STYLE under William Buick for Charlie Appleby.
She blew out in Group 1 company in Germany last time, but the ground was very testing then and she did better when it wasn’t quite so juicy in the Aphrodite. This is there for taking and she stays well.
Now the Group 2 Rockfell Stakes for juvenile fillies over 7f. ZANTHOS was 4-11 to beat Touleen last time, but was well and truly put in her place. The latter will be a strong fancy here for many and may well win.
But I’ll just take a chance that Zanthos wasn’t quite at her best and despite being beaten, she kept on well enough under tender handling. She had looked a monster on her previous run for the excellent boutique Crisford stable. Oisin Murphy is on top.
ITV show one race over jumps from Worcester, which is the Brush Hurdle Series Final Novices’ Handicap Hurdle over 2m4f.
This is a terrific field. This trip gives DON VIRGINIA a chance to reverse recent Stratford form with Knights Affair and I think he’s a fair each-way bet for the O’Neills and Richie McClernon.
My selection still has improvement to come and while this is very competitive, he has been very consistent over jumps in 2025. Just wish he had a slightly better career record than just one win.
Now it’s the Group 2 Joel Stakes over 1m. This should be a good battle between OPERA BALLO and Zeus Olympios and I take the former to come out on top. William Buick rides my selection, which is interesting as he was on top Zeus when he won last time.
Buick should know roughly where the Charlie Appleby stable stands and in this case, Opera Ballo is very talented, having only been beaten once when blowing out in the Craven. Opera Ballo has a telling turn of foot.
A Listed contest over 1m4f. Some very highly rated horses for a Listed event. Isle of Jura makes a comeback, but will surely improve bundles for the outing. Eydon has a high mark, but he has to prove that his win last time wasn’t a flash in the pan.
I’ll take the consistent AIMERIC to come out on top for Karl Burke and Clifford Lee. He has a few pounds to fine on form but stays very strongly and put up a fine effort in a handicap under a big weight at Musselburgh last time. Should be right in the mix.
So best of luck and pray for Yeeehaaas. You hear me, Paddy?
