A public meeting in Wexford to discuss the future of a former hotel building ended abruptly on Thursday night after Ceann Comhairle Verona Murphy claimed she was “blindsided” by the developer of the site after he turned up and spoke at the gathering.
In an extraordinary moment, Deputy Murphy told the crowd: “I am not going to continue a meeting where Mr. (Aidan) Gallagher wants to put his side across”.
