FKA twigs has now revealed details of her upcoming album ‘EUSEXUA Afterglow’, set for release on November 14 via Young. Initially, the project was conceived as a deluxe extension of her Mercury Prize-nominated album ‘EUSEXUA’. However, it has since transformed into a fully-fledged record with an entirely new tracklist. Moreover, the announcement arrives alongside her new single Cheap Hotel and a Jordan Hemingway-directed video featuring the Clermont Twins.

While January’s ‘EUSEXUA’ explored the raw energy of techno and the transformative power of raves, EUSEXUA Afterglow shifts focus to the hours that follow. Twigs describes it as a soundtrack to the afters, when the pulse of the music still lingers in the body. The beats feel fractured and playful, drawing on the reverence of techno yet stretching its boundaries. The new album reflects the evolution of twigs’ artistry, weaving in the hooks of ‘CAPRISONGS’, the intimacy of ‘MAGDALENE’, the sensuality of ‘LP1’, and the experimental edge of her earliest EPs.

This new chapter follows a busy summer, with FKA twigs performing across major festivals and cities, from Primavera in Barcelona to LadyLand in New York. She officially launched the ‘Afterglow’ era in Seoul last month with a listening party and a sold-out rave, where she premiered ‘Cheap Hotel’.

‘EUSEXUA Afterglow’ builds on the acclaim of its predecessor, which Pitchfork named Best New Music and Rolling Stone called “a triumph.” Fans can pre-save the record now and watch the ‘Cheap Hotel’ video online.
