Survivor gives reasons to stay optimistic as she says: ‘It’s not the death sentence it used to be’

Irish author and breast cancer survivor Patricia Scanlan has said “the person she was last year is nothing like the person she is now”, as she spoke candidly about her diagnosis.
The Dublin writer was diagnosed with breast cancer on December 13 last year after a BreastCheck appointment. She said it is a “date I won’t forget”.
