There was a second Bvlgari Serpenti Infinito exhibition event in Mumbai, India, attended by brand ambassador Priyanka Chopra. Unlike the earlier appearance, this one carried a more formal, gala-like atmosphere, and Priyanka certainly rose to the occasion.

Her Raisa Vanessa silk tulle gown is likely to split you down the middle like her previous look. For me, I have to say she won me over once again. The gown frames her body like a Greco-Roman sculpture—an almost poetic nod to Bvlgari’s Roman heritage. The cowl neckline softens the corseted structure, while the sheer silk tulle overlay introduces an ethereal lightness that balances romance with strength.

I’ll admit, part of me wishes the underlayer had extended to the hemline, though that might have amplified the bridal undertone. Still, the curvature of the skirt’s underlayer and the draped hips—accentuating an hourglass silhouette and elongating the body—lend a statuesque quality that ultimately sways my admiration for this look. I know, however, that the sheerness will be the ultimate dealbreaker for the majority.

Paired with her sleek hair, flawless beauty look, and that breathtaking ruby and diamond Bvlgari necklace, the result is pure goddess energy.

However, there was another guest at the same event—Shibani Dandekar—who wore a similar version of Priyanka’s Raisa Vanessa gown. The key difference was the absence of that sheer Grecian overlay, which gave her look a sleeker finish. This is not to pit the ladies against each other, but for those of you who I know won’t be convinced by the transparency of Priyanka’s skirt, Shibani’s version might feel like the stronger option. Personally, while I admire the statuesque quality Priyanka brought to hers, I can see how Shibani’s take offers a more classic interpretation of the silhouette.
