Mick Jagger looked over the moon when he and his fiancée Melanie Hamrick hit the red carpet for the New York City Ballet’s 2025 Fall Fashion Gala on Wednesday evening.
The Rolling Stones frontman looked far younger than his 82 years as he waved to the cameras with his much-younger love at his side at the event, which was held at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center.
Hamrick — who, at 38, is Jagger’s junior by more than four decades — lit up the event with her crimson gown.
The satin number featured a conservative high neckline with a plunging back, and its sleeveless design highlighted her trim arms.
Its long skirt reached down to the ground, but the dress featured a high slit showcasing Hamrick’s dancer’s legs.
She completed her outfit with strappy black open-toe heels and a red pedicure that matched her dress, and she styled her raven tresses back in a messy bun to put her elegantly made-up face on full display.

Jagger opted for a more casual ensemble with a black-and-white floral-print shirt with a white collar that he left undone.
He wore it under a black velvet tuxedo jacket with peaked lapels, but he wore regular black trousers instead of tuxedo pants.
The legendary rocker dressed down his outfit with a pair of black Nike trainers, while he added some flash with a gold bracelet.
According to the New York City Ballet’s website, this year’s Fall Fashion Gala ‘continues to marry the art forms of ballet and fashion, introducing a world premiere by former Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Resident Choreographer Jamar Roberts, with music by Venezuelan musician and record producer Arca and costumes by Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen, alongside contemporary hits showcasing styles by Virgil Abloh in Gianna Reisen’s Composer’s Holiday and Gianni Versace in William Forsythe’s Herman Schmerman pas de deux.’
The event featured ballets with music from clasical composers Lukas Foss and Thom Willems, as well as the electronic musician Arca.
The Ballet’s gala was was significant for Hamrick, a former ballerina–turned–choreographer.
The native of Williamsburg, Virgina, got her professional start with a five-year stint studying and the prestigious Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, DC.
She’s best known for her 15-year stint with New York City’s American Ballet Theatre. Following her retirement from dancing in 2019, she has focused on choreography and revealed a talent for fiction after making her debut as a novelist in 2023.

Jagger and Hamrick have been an item since 2014, when they met in Japan while the Rolling Stones and the American Ballet Theatre were touring at the same time
In 2016, they welcomed a son, the first child for Hamrick and eighth for Jagger. Last year, Hamrick revealed they had gotten engaged two or three years earlier
Jagger and the brunette beauty have been together since 2014, but it wasn’t until April of this year that Hamrick revealed that they gotten engaged two or three years earlier.
In 2016, the couple welcomed a son, Deveraux Octavian Basil, who was Hamrick’s first child and Jagger’s eighth.
Despite the lovebirds’ multi-decade age gap, Hamrick claimed in an interview with the Times of London from September 2024 that she ‘[doesn’t] think about’ their sizable difference in ages.
‘Everyone’s going to have their opinion. If you think about others’ opinions, no matter where you are in life, you’re going to have a problem and you’re going to analyze it,’ she said.
Hamrick and Jagger met thanks to serendipitous scheduling, as both the Rolling Stones and the American Ballet Theatre were on tour in Japan in February of 2014.
Hamrick ended up meeting the iconic singer with a friend backstage at a Stones concert, though it wasn’t until June of that year that the two became a couple.
Since then, the couple have joined forces to work on a ballet titled Porte Rouge, which featured Hamrick’s choreography set to multiple songs from Jagger’s Rolling Stones collaborations with longtime guitarist Keith Richards.
