Lee highlights the features of the Starlink Mini at the launch held on board the Sarawak River Cruise.
KUCHING (Oct 8): The launch of the Starlink Mini took place in style on board the Sarawak River Cruise here yesterday, where the guests experienced first-hand the reliable connectivity of this compact satellite internet device even while cruising along the river.
Introduced by PC Image, this portable kit can easily fit inside a backpack, designed to provide high-speed, low-latency wireless online coverage on the go.
Weighing just 1.1kg, the device is ideal for travels, camping in the remote areas or boating.
Priced at RM930, with monthly plans starting from RM220, the Starlink Mini combines portability and performance in one package. It can be managed easily via the Starlink app, making setup and monitoring simple for all users.
At the launch, PC Image sales assistant branch manager Marcus Lee conducted a live demonstration of the device’s usage and capabilities.
“The Starlink Mini is ideal for people who are always on the move, from corporate professionals working in the rural areas, to outdoor adventurers who want seamless internet access.
“Now, everyone can stay connected everywhere they go,” he said.
The Starlink Mini also features lower power consumption, allowing it to run on a powerbank and supports a roaming plan that allows users to go anywhere within their registered country.
“If you’re someone who’s always here and there, then the Starlink Mini is highly recommended. It’s designed for flexibility, convenience and reliability,” Lee added.
Developed by SpaceX, Starlink is part of Elon Musk’s global satellite network initiative to provide high-speed Internet access in areas underserved by the traditional infrastructure.
