Paradise postponed. The final whistle blew in Portlaoise and a confused murmur took hold until the PA announced that the Laois senior football final of 2025 would be decided via a replay.
By then, some Portarlington players surrounded referee Séamus Mulhare, presumably asking on what planet did the tackle on Rioghan Murphy – the last act of the game – not constitute a free.
