There is every chance Meghan could have chosen these personal treasures to wear on Friday night. For the occasion, Meghan opted eschewed a sparkling gown in favour of sharp tailoring for the evening, plumping for a Giorgio Armani trousers and jacket, which she daringly wore buttoned up without a top visible underneath. In a potential nod to the late designer, who died last month, the Duchess finished her Armani ensemble with a satin clutch bag and pumps by the Italian design house. She finished the outfit with a statement double link chain necklace by Scandinavian designer Anine Bing – and the classic flats diamond earrings.
The brand are said to have been ‘honoured’ by Meghan’s decision to wear the piece to such a high profile event. ‘We’re truly honored and excited to see our piece being worn – this has been such incredible news for our whole team,’ the company wrote in a message to Instagram account @_duchess_of_sussex. ‘It means a lot to see Ukrainian craftsmanship recognised on this level. We are absolutely delighted to see the Duchess of Sussex wearing our jewellery. This truly inspires us to create even more.’
