Gardai are investigating after suspected human remains were found in a burnt out car in Tallaght, South Dublin.
Dublin fire brigade and gardai rushed to the scene of the shocking incident in the Watergate Estate of Tallaght in the early hours of this morning.
There, it is understood officers found a car on fire in the driveway of a house. Members of the fire brigade put out the fire and subsequently suspected human remains were found inside.

It is suspected to be the remains of a man. It is understood that gardai suspect this may be a personal tragedy incident, but officers are keeping an open mind at this stage.
Shocked locals have told this paper how they heard an “explosion” at around 1:30am in the morning.
Gardai have been contacted for comment.
