As if Washington, D.C., didn’t have enough on its plate right now. The August 20 episode of South Park will see Towelie traveling to our nation’s occupied capital. “This seems like the perfect place for a towel!” he cries as he approaches the White House while a tank rolls by. South Park continues its season-long aggravation of the Trump administration, which has been paying off in the ratings; the season 27 premiere saw the show get its biggest share in 25 years.
So far, the show has done takes on Trump, J.D. Vance, and Kristi Noem. But with South Park going on a break until September 3, what other members of the right-wing rogues’ gallery will be pulling focus by then? Episode three of season 27, “Sickofancy,” airs Wednesday, August 20, at 10 p.m. on Comedy Central. Stream it the next day on Paramount+. And no matter where you watch, don’t forget to bring a towel.

Season 27 has seen the citizens of South Park interacting with the Trump admin in different ways. After getting fired from South Park Elementary, Mr. Mackey pivoted from guidance counselor to ICE agent. Clyde has become a Charlie Kirk–style master debater. And now Towelie will barely notice the police state that D.C. has become. The president has deployed the National Guard in the capital and attempted to take over the Metropolitan Police Department, allegedly to stop a “crime wave” for which there is no statistical support. And now Towelie is there, too. Luckily for him, marijuana has been decriminalized.
