SEOUL, Oct 20 — The queens of K-pop are officially in comeback mode.
Blackpink will begin shooting the music video for a new song this week, the group’s agency YG Entertainment announced today.
“We thank the fans who are waiting for Blackpink’s comeback,” YG said in a press release.
“We are in the last stages of making the quality of the album better.
“The members of Blackpink and the staff are going to make our best efforts to show you the highest quality results.”
The update comes after reports that the quartet’s much-anticipated album — originally expected between October and November — is now set for release in December.
Blackpink last dropped new music in July with their single Jump, which they debuted ‘live’ at their Deadline concert in Goyang, Gyeonggi that same month.
The group’s global tour continues to pack arenas, with upcoming stops in Bangkok (October 24 and 26), Jakarta (November 1–2), Bulacan in the Philippines (November 22–23), Singapore (November 28 and 30), Tokyo (January 16–18) and Hong Kong (January 24–26).
While details of the new track remain under wraps, excitement among Blinks is already reaching fever pitch — and all eyes are now on what kind of sound and style Blackpink will serve next.
