Home and Away spoilers follow.
Home and Away’s Stephen Peacocke has shared a surprising admission about Darryl ‘Brax’ Braxton’s dramatic return. The actor will be reprising his beloved role for a special Home and Away event, alongside his on-screen partner Bonnie Sveen, who played Erica ‘Ricky’ Sharpe.
Brax and Ricky were last seen in 2016 when they left Summer Bay to start a new adventure with their son Casey. Now, the fan-favourite couple will be back for a series of special episodes which will be filmed across Western Australia.

While viewers will be delighted to catch up with Ricky and Brax after their decade-long absence, Peacocke has shared his fears about returning to our screens.
“I’m a bit nervous,” he told Mediaweek. “I get nervous all the time. There’s never a day I come home and think, I’ve nailed that.”

“I look at younger actors and really admire how confident they seem, because most of the time we’ll finish a take and the director will say it’s fine, and I’ll still be asking ‘are you sure that worked?'” he laughed.
Despite feeling apprehensive, Peacocke also shared his excitement to discover what Brax has been up to since we last saw him, adding that he “didn’t even realise it had been ten years”.

“It was a pretty popular storyline and a popular character that I played, so they thought it’d be great to catch up with him – to see where he’s at now that there’s a bit of water under the bridge.”
“I love playing that character so much, and I love the crew and the people I was working with,” he continued. “There’s an audience that really wants to see this, and I just want to make it as good as it can be, and I’m sure it will be.”
The episodes will be produced in partnership with Tourism Western Australia in a bid to highlight the state’s natural beauty. Filming was scheduled to take place this month, before the episodes air next year.
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first-look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 and streams on 7Plus.
