Coronation Street has shared a first look at the new family arriving on the cobbles – the Driscolls, alongside fan favourite Eva Price.
Ben Driscoll, played by former Shameless star Aaron McCusker, arrives on the street with a big surprise for his wife Eva, he’s bought the Rovers Return. It means that Catherine Tyldesley’s character will be the new landlady of the Weatherfield pub, the first time Eva has been behind the bar since 2018.
Ben and Eva will be joined by her daughter Susie (Aurora Bradshaw) and Ben’s two sons Will (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) and Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike). Viewers will already recognise Ollie as he’s been dating Dee-Dee Bailey for the last few months, however, she is unaware of his family’s big move.

A new trailer shows the family settling in to the pub by throwing a big party. But things don’t run smoothly when Ben’s mum Maggie, played by former EastEnders star Pauline McLynn, brings some shocking news for Eva.
Tydesley recently spoke about her return to Corrie after seven years away, as well as what she and her on-screen partner will be bringing to the Street.
“Kate [Brooks – producer] had told me that Eva and Ben had been together for a while and they really loved each other,” she said. “She explained that she wanted a powerhouse couple at the front of the pub, who genuinely just thought the world of each other. I thought that was really refreshing, because I’d initially wondered: ‘Are they going to bring us in and then split us up?’
She also added what we can expect from Eva as the new landlady, saying: “I think it’s easy to underestimate Eva as a dizzy blonde.

“She does have that side to her – she’s great fun and can be dizzy and spontaneous – but she is a very strong woman. As time goes on, we start to see even more reasons why she has got this inner strength.”
“Eva is also her mother’s daughter,” she added. “Stella was a really strong woman and that is probably part of the reason why her and Maggie clash so much, they’re such strong personalities. But again, to bring that fun dynamic into The Rovers, especially with Sean and Glenda, has just been an absolute scream.”
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
