Josie Gibson has revealed why she has scaled back from This Morning after six years on the ITV show, as she opened up to the Daily Mail at the Pride of Britain Awards.
The presenter, 40, who has regularly appeared on the daytime show since 2019, admitted to recently struggling with career ‘hurdles’.
Josie is known for working on This Morning during the summer months, often covering as a relief presenter however, this year fans of the ITV program have noticed she’s appeared less regularly than normal.
The TV star has now told the Daily Mail that she is currently busy ‘filming a renovation show’ which has been ‘stressful’.
Speaking on the red carpet, she said: ‘Yeah I have, well actually I haven’t really stepped away [from This Morning] I have been doing a lot of other projects.
‘I’ve been filming a renovation show and I’m so blessed and lucky and I’m not going to lie it’s been stressful.

‘I’ve hit a lot of hurdles but it’s how you get back up, I’m not a good jumper at times but I get back up and keep trying.’
The Big Brother icon’s upcoming ITV program, Josie Gibson’s Big Country Build, will be a seven-part series and is set to air next year.
Josie will be joined on the new show by her rarely-seen family members brothers Josh and Charlie, who are scrap metal traders, as well as her builder cousin Tom.
The TV star went on to say she has also been filming another ITV program, A Taste of the Southwest which drops in November, as well as ‘some other bits too’.
She added that despite doing other work she still loves her This Morning ‘family’ as they have all ‘grown together’.
The mother-of-one added: ‘They’re like a family, they’re amazing. When you get there, it is lovely to see everybody and we’ve done a lot of stuff together and we’ve grown together. They are just like a real good family.’
During the evening, Josie looked stunning in a figure hugging red gown as she posed on the red carpet.
The presenter shot to fame in 2010 when she won the 11th series of the Channel 4 series of Big Brother.
She told the Daily Mail: ‘Yeah I have, well actually I haven’t really stepped away, I have been filming a renovation show and I’m not going to lie it’s been stressful. I’ve hit a lot of hurdles but it’s how you get back up’

The star became a huge hit with fans and has gone on to have a very successful TV career.
She then started covering features on the ITV daytime show This Morning in 2019 before becoming a co-host two years later.
Josie has gone on to appear on 8 Out of 10 Cats, Loose Women, The Jump, Cooking with the Stars, I’m A Celebrity and The Masked Singer UK.
Previously, the presenter said she had ‘stepped back’ from TV to spend more time with her son Reggie.
She explained to The Mirror: ‘A lot of my work comes through the summer holidays because I’m covering for people.
‘So this year I made a conscious decision to step back and I spent a lot more time with Reggie over the summer than I’d normally get to do.’
