Fans of Apple TV’s hit series, Shrinking, starring Jason Segel and Harrison Ford, have just received an exciting update. Nearly a year after its Season 2 finale aired, Shrinking Season 3 finally has a premiere date.
Deadline reports that Shrinking Season 3 will debut on Apple TV on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, with a one-hour episode. The streamer also released some new photos from the upcoming third season. New episodes of the series, which boasts a 94% Rotten Tomatoes critic score and an 89% audience score, will premiere on Wednesdays through April 8, 2026, for a total of 11 episodes. In addition to Segel and Ford, Shrinking also stars Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley. Season 2 concluded in December 2024.
Segel created Shrinking along with Brett Goldstein and Bill Lawrence. Goldstein is set to reprise his role as Louis Winston in Season 3 as a recurring guest star. Wendie Malick and Cobie Smulders will also be back in guest-starring roles in Season 3, in addition to Damon Wayans, Jr. Also, Jeff Daniels and Michael J. Fox will be featured as guest stars in the upcoming season.

Shrinking follows Segel’s character, Jimmy Laird, who is a therapist dealing with the death of his wife. He uses unconventional methods to help his clients, especially in the case of Sean, whom he allows to move into his pool house in Season 1. Season 2 left off with an emotional Thanksgiving dinner and ended with Jimmy finding Louis, who was responsible for the car crash that killed his wife, and accepting his apology.
Fox, who will be playing a character who, like the actor in real life, has Parkinson’s disease, talked about his guest-starring role in a previous interview with People. In Shrinking, Ford’s character, Dr. Paul Rhoades, is also dealing with a Parkinson’s diagnosis. In the interview, Fox talked about what it was like on the set of Shrinking and how it was different from other projects he’s worked on in the past.
“It was the first time ever I get to show up on-set, and I didn’t have to worry about am I too tired or coughing or anything. I just do it,” Fox said. He added that he hopes to continue to work as an actor in the future. “I see other people’s work, and it makes me think that I might be able to find something that’s for me as an actor and a writer. And as a parent, husband, and friend, I have a lot left to do,” he said. Fox’s Shrinking role is the first for the actor since he played Louis Canning in The Good Fight back in 2020.
The first two seasons of Shrinking are streaming on Apple TV. Season 3 will premiere on Jan. 28, 2026.
