Billpayers looking to save some money on their monthly outgoings would do well to take note of Virgin Media this month as it’s currently giving away free Netflix subscriptions to those who sign up for its broadband service. The cheapest deal of the bunch can net entertainment fans both Netflix and fibre internet from less than £1 per day.
Shoppers will need to shell out for at least the 500mpbs contract to get Netflix bundled in, but they can also opt to go up to 1,130mpbs too. In total, this can save around £143.76 over the 24-month contract, based on the £5.99 price of Netflix with ads.
Those 1,130Mbps speeds aren’t as expensive as you might think, either. That deal is currently available for £29.99 per month, although Virgin Media hasn’t specified when the deal is set to expire just yet [via Daily Record].
Virgin has also slashed the price of its cheaper plans, with prices now starting at £23.99 for 132Mbps. However, there’s no Netflix subscription included with this option.
To avoid any double bills, customers with an existing Netflix subscription who use the same email address when joining Virgin will have their existing subscription paused. There’s also no setup fee with Virgin’s broadband, which would usually set shoppers back £35.

Virgin Media is giving away a free Netflix subscription with its broadband plans starting at £27.99 per month.

- Netflix standard with ads.
Those signing up for the Gig1 + Netflix Fibre Broadband will also receive Virgin’s WiFi guarantee included at no extra cost, which offers a minimum of 30Mbps in every room or a £100 bill credit. However, one downside with Virgin’s plans is that, like most providers, it will raise its prices each year, with customers set to see their bills increase by £4 every April.
This means those on its £29.99 plan will pay £33.99 from April 2026 and £37.99 from April 2027. Virgin’s deals beat Sky’s own broadband prices, with its 900Mbps Full Fibre Broadband plan coming in at £40 per month – slower and more expensive than Virgin’s comparable plan.
Elsewhere, Hyperoptic will give customers up to £300 when joining its broadband service, but this isn’t available nationwide so it’s worth checking availability on its website. For those sticking with Virgin, the provider has racked up thousands of positive reviews on Trustpilot.

One happy customer said: “I’ve used Virgin before and always preferred their internet speed and left for various reasons. So when I moved house I wanted to re-join them and needed to join on a specific day and got a call on the day I asked for a call. Got an install date a couple of days later and the engineer was the most friendliest, helpful guy ever.”
Another shared: “I’ve been with Virgin since 2018. My internet and TV almost never go down, and if they do it’s always fixed within a couple of hours. I’ve renegotiated my contract several times and always got a deal I was happy with. I get the speeds and services as advertised, and although you’ll never get the introductory price again, I’m staying with them for the value of having exceptional service in every way.”
This customer left a more mixed three-star review, saying: “The customer service wasn’t always the best but generally speeds were good in the years I used them, and stable. The customer service did improve over the years but as did the price.”
While this five-star review reads: “I’ve had the best service from Virgin. I contacted them on Thursday, received my equipment Friday. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Fab service.”
