Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow‘s daughter, Apple, is following in her dad’s footsteps by dipping her toe in the music world, but it hasn’t gone exactly as hoped.
The 21-year-old appeared on stage at Cannery Hall in Nashville with the musical duo, Jade Street, and is getting ready to release her first single, Satellite, imminently.
The footage of her performance was posted online, and while millions may love her dad hitting the high notes, unfortunately, the response for Apple was not the same.

Luckily, this doesn’t appear to be a be-all and end-all profession for Apple. In 2023, she made her fashion debut at the Chanel haute couture show at Paris Fashion Week.
She is currently studying law, history, and society at Vanderbilt University, all while recording her first single.
Within hours of the performance, those watching online did not hold back on their views about her performance.
One wrote: ”Nails on a chalkboard,’ with another highlighting how they ‘sound the same after a few drinks at karaoke’.
Another person watching said it reminded her of a certain well-loved movie, writing: ‘Remember the scene in Bridget Jones’ Diary where she sang? Yeah, that one!’

The topic of nepotism also arose, with many feeling it was her parents who were able to provide this chance for her.
‘Nepotism is wild. People with ordinary talent get the spotlight.’

Among the naysayers, there were a few positive reactions to her performance. ‘Woooahhh I have chills sweet girl,’ penned one follower. While another said: ‘Omg I love your voice.’
Her song, Satellite, will be released on October 28, so while there may be a mix of different opinions, have a listen here and see where your thoughts lie.
