Hollyoaks spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on E4 and stream on the Channel 4 service.
Hollyoaks has aired the bumper episode of its 30th anniversary celebrations, as two more characters lost their lives. The village has been rocked by a shocking death streak after Jez Blake and Clare Devine’s mid-air fight led to their plane crashing and hitting the Love Boat. As Peri Lomax died to save Tom Cunningham in yesterday’s episode, new scenes confirmed it was time for two more to meet their maker.
In tonight’s Hollyoaks, as Leela was mourning Peri comforted by Ste Hay, Sienna Blake had a pretty sticky situation on her hands as her dad Jez intended to kill Dodger.

A brawl ensued, with Sienna barely restraining Ste, who wanted to exact his revenge against Jez over Peri’s death.
Dodger was able to handcuff Jez to a railing by the pond but, when the murderer unexpectedly freed himself, Liberty, John-Paul and Ste rushed to stop him, causing him to slip into the water.

There, Jez met a terrible, off-screen fate courtesy of the plane’s airscrew back in full motion.
Meanwhile, Grace Black was rushed to the hospital after being shot, as her sister Clare Devlin prepared to go into hiding. Before she could flee though, Clare reminded Donny Clarke of his other life and warned him to sleep with one eye open — because she and Froggy would be onto him.
That’s when Hollyoaks crossed over with Channel 4’s other iconic soap, Brookside, which aired until 2003.

Donny’s taxi driver pal Benny (aka Brookside’s Sinbad) warned him against returning there, but he insisted. Upon his arrival to Brookside Close, Donny was greeted by matriarch Sheila Grant, who revealed Donny’s true identity. Calling him Mick Johnson, she explained “Donny” faked his own death, entrusting his children Gemma and Leo to her.
In a surprise reunion with Gemma, who believed her father had died 20 years prior, Donny learned his daughter was now in a relationship with a familiar face from Chester; Warren Fox.
After doing a double take when seeing Gemma with Warren, Donny said they should all leave before Froggy’s thugs found them.

At the hospital, Grace woke up with Rex Gallagher and Froggy by her side. She managed to have a heart-to-heart with her son Rex before she flatlined. She died moments later, despite Misbah Maalik and her team’s best efforts to save her.
But the drama didn’t stop there. As Cleo McQueen went into labour at The Dog and Nancy Osborne was fighting for her life, Tony Hutchinson had managed to annoy quite a few people in the village. Not just his ex-wife Diane, but also Mercedes, who lost her baby after Tony failed to help her, and Darren, who resented him for sleeping with Nancy and fathering Morgan.

A furious Darren headed to the pub yielding a gun and fired it at Tony.
“This is payback, for you, for ruining my life!” Darren said, as Tony went down. Will he meet his end too?
