Primaloft, a global company specializing in the production of sustainable, high-performance insulation materials, presents PrimaLoft Ultrapeak, a high-performance insulation material. This new development is the result of years of experimentation, innovation, progress, and performance.

As an insulation expert since 1984, Primaloft has used its fiber know-how to develop this new insulation that provides high levels of warmth, greater volume, and a softness never before achieved.

PrimaLoft Ultrapeak uses specially engineered fibers that create a unique structure that traps heat more efficiently, resulting in the warmest Primaloft insulation ever made.

In addition to its high thermal performance, Ultrapeak is exceptionally soft to the touch and durable. The material is also made from 100% recycled material using Primaloft P.U.R.E. manufacturing technology, which reduces carbon emissions by 50%, or more, compared to traditional methods.

“UltraPeak is dedicated to tirelessness,” said Andrea Paulson, Primaloft’s senior vice president of technology and innovation.

“By rethinking the architecture of the fibers, we have developed insulation that fully meets the expectations of the most demanding outdoor adventure enthusiasts to achieve maximum performance,” she added.

The specially engineered fibers in Primaloft Ultrapeak interlock with the surrounding microfibers to create a scaffold effect within the insulation structure. This unique fiber structure captures more air and traps body heat more effectively, making PrimaLoft insulation more efficient.

The structure also creates a resilient loft effect and exceptional softness, with a look and feel very similar to down.

The ease of use of Ultrapeak compared to loose insulation means additional production efficiency for brands that develop high-performance garments for outdoor adventures.

“At Primaloft, we are redefining the standards of insulation,” said Anne Cavassa, CEO, Primaloft.

“The development of Ultrapeak is supported by our deep knowledge of the outdoor environment and our commitment to protecting the open spaces we all love. This technology sets a new benchmark for the industry and underscores our ‘Relentlessly Responsible’ mission, which is committed to developing responsibly manufactured products to promote new performance,” added the manager.

The development of Ultrapeak and the use of P.U.R.E. technology is Primaloft’s latest step in transitioning its portfolio to more sustainable production methods on a large scale.
