Gardaí say a formal identification has taken place of the body of a woman discovered in Tralee yesterday.
The woman’s body was found in the water shortly before 1pm on Wednesday on the canal walkway, between Tralee and Blennerville.
She is believed to have been in her 50s or 60s, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and was wearing a red top, black leggings and white runners.
An Garda Síochána say the woman’s body was taken to University Hospital Kerry, where she has been formally identified.
Gardaí say they’re not looking for any further public assistance and have thanked the public for their help.
