Donegal GAA star Shaun and girlfriend Rebecca sparkle in Rome as they get engaged

Donegal GAA star Shaun Patton and long-term girlfriend Rebecca Fletcher have had a busy summer.

Any plans for a holiday were put on hold as the Letterkenny man helped Donegal to the All-Ireland Final at Croke Park.

So a nice few days away in the romantic Italian capital of Rome was more than welcome.

But teacher Rebecca hadn’t expected Shaun would pop the question!

The coupple took to social media to tell of their delight at their engagement.

“Nearly 10 years in the making, here’s to forever,” said Rebecca.

We wish Shaun and Rebecca all the happiness in the world together.
