A man described by a judge as a “vigilante” who violently attacked his former neighbour on two separate occasions and told him to “go back to your own f****** country” and called his wife a “fat b**** who needed exercise”, has been sentenced to 12 months in prison.
Joe Campbell (55), however, immediately lodged an appeal to the two consecutive six month prison terms which were handed down to him by Judge Ciaran Liddy following the assaults on Great Water Street, Longford on May 8 and November 13 last year.
