EastEnders’ Callum Highway has an attack of the green-eyed monster next week, when he visits The Albert and finds Johnny Carter there on a date.

After Johnny comes home from his cruise holiday early, Callum’s delighted to have him back. However, his joy doesn’t last long, as he soon sees Johnny on a date in The Albert.

“After the sexy snaps he received from Johnny on his singles cruise, Callum thought they had something going on, but it’s clear that Johnny still sees himself as a free agent. Callum’s not one to talk though – he’s still married to banged-up Ben!”

Callum soon manages to brush aside his confusing feelings though, and the pair soon get to catch up after spending the last few weeks apart.

They quickly grow closer once again, and Callum is grateful to Johnny when he helps him navigate a difficult situation with Lexi…

“Callum’s been feeling out of his depth with Lexi since Ben went to prison, so he’s glad to have Johnny’s help,” our source explains.

“Hopefully, spending time together will push Callum to ask Johnny about where they stand with their relationship – but we’ll have to see. Either way, it’s clear that Callum is moving on with his life and leaving his husband behind in the last chapter!”

We know that Ben is set to make a brief return to the show later this year in some rather dramatic funeral scenes, but for now, Callum’s mind appears to be in a very different place.
