Four people have been killed in a spate of fatal road accidents across the country this weekend.
A man aged in his 30s became the latest road victim after a collision in the early hours of this morning in Galway.
The fatal single-vehicle incident occurred on the L2107 at Lavally, Tuam at approximately 4:30am.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, with his body being removed to the Mortuary at University Hospital Galway.
The man has become the fourth victim on Irish roads this weekend alone, after three separate tragedies involving pedestrians.
A man in his 80s was killed after he was struck by a car in Loughgeorge, County Galway on Friday night.
Elsewhere, a man aged in his 40s was also killed after being struck by a car in Borris, County Carlow on Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile a man aged in his 30s was killed after being struck by a bus on the N7 motorway at Kill, County Kildare.
Gardaí have appealed to witnesses to any of the above incidents to get in contact with them.
