Joe Schmidt left the Wallabies press conference room in Stillorgan this afternoon with a hardback copy of James Joyce’s Dubliners under his left arm. He was given it as a present ahead of his final game in Dublin as Australia head coach on Saturday.
Few know more than this experienced head coach that sentimentality has a short shelf-life with a big Test match incoming, but the former Ireland Grand Slam-winning boss indulged in some brief nostalgia when he was asked about it at his media briefing.
