Making his dad proud!
According to Russell Crowe, the late Steve Irwin would be “so impressed” with his 21-year-old son Robert’s turn on Dancing with the Stars.
“Although Steve could read the rhythms of the seasons and every living creature, he was absolutely not gifted with a sense of musical rhythm,” the Oscar winner — who’s been friends with the Irwin family since the 1990s — told the New York Times in a story published on Sunday, November 23. “In his hands, a tambourine became a deadly weapon.”
However, Steve’s son doesn’t seem to have the same issue — Robert has made the finals on DWTS with partner Witney Carson.
“I think [Steve] would watch Robert dancing and how he uses his body, the strength and poise, and he would be in awe of his son,” Crowe added.

Steve, known as the Crocodile Hunter, died in 2006 after a freak encounter with a stingray when his son was 2 and a half years old.
Robert told E! in September that he’s dedicated to keeping his father’s “sense of passion and enthusiasm and his work as an environmental advocate” alive for the next generation.
“I never expected in a million years that I’d be able to do that through dance,” he added. “I don’t know what dad would say if he were here, but I think he’d be pretty stoked!”
