The draws for the 2026 Provincial Championships will take place on Thursday evening at Croke Park, with the proceedings getting underway at 7pm.

Donegal are aiming for a unprecedented third Ulster title in a row. They defeated Armagh in this year’s final with the Orchard county looking for a first provincial title since 2008, despite reaching the last three finals.

As has been the case since 2021, Ulster counties who have played in the province’s preliminary round tie in one year will be exempt from it for the next two years.

Therefore, two of Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh and Tyrone will therefore meet in the province’s opener.

The draws for all four Provincial Football Championships will take place on Thursday night.

Munster GAA postponed the introduction of a proposed new league-based seeding system, and the 2026 championship will revert to the previous system where the previous year’s finalists receive a bye to the semi-finals.
