Australian influencer Indy Clinton is facing backlash after announcing she “changed” her daughter’s birthday for a bizarre reason.
In a Tuesday, December 2 TikTok, the mom of three declared, “I was actually going to ask you guys for your opinion on something but I’ve already made up my mind … I don’t need your opinion.”
Clinton — who welcomed daughter Soul with Ben Azar on December 18, 2023 — said she now plans to celebrate the little girl’s birthday on December 12.
“She was actually just too close to Christmas for my liking … she’s never going to know we have officially changed it,” she explained.
Clinton doubled down, adding, “She wasn’t born on that day, but honestly, who needs to know? … Genuinely, I cannot think of a reason why this would be bad.”
However, critics flooded her comment section warning the stunt could confuse her daughter later in life.
“‘No one else needs to know’ after making a TikTok with 100K views,” one person slammed.
“Do not do this Indy,” cautioned another, who added, “She’s gonna have to fill out official forms when she’s older and not know her freaking bday.”
Clinton is also mom to son Navy and daughter Bambi who she welcomed in 2020 and 2022, respectively.
