A mother and daughter from West Belfast are to have their funerals together after they sadly passed away within days of each other.
Tributes have been paid to Annmarie McCann and her daughter Bridin, who both passed away peacefully in hospital this week surrounded by their loving family.
The family and friends of Bridin, who passed away on November 30, and her mother, Annmarie, who passed away on Thursday (December 4), have been left heartbroken by events of recent days, reports Belfast Live.
A tribute post from Mallon Funeral Directors said: “McCann (nee Mervyn) Annmarie, died peacefully at hospital 4th December 2025. Surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife to Patsy. Adored mummy to Francine, Patrick, Carleen and the late Bridin. Loving Granny to Stephen, Ben, Caoimhe, Molly, Phelim and Conall. Great Granny, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and friend to many. R.I.P. Annmarie will arrive home to 59 Colinvale on Friday (Afternoon).

“Annmarie and Bridin will both leave on Monday 8th December at 9.30am for 10am Requiem Mass in The Church of the Nativity followed by burial in Milltown Cemetery. Our Lady Queen of Knock Pray for them.”
The deaths of Bridin and Annmarie have prompted an outpouring of grief on social media, with mourners sending sympathy to the McCann family at such a difficult time.

St Gall GAC issued a post, saying: “All at Naomh Gall are deeply saddened to hear of the deaths of Ann-Marie and Bridin McCann, beloved mother and sister of our gaelic4mothers player Carleen, and granny and aunt to our underage players Molly and Phelim.
“We offer our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to Carleen, Philly and the McCann family circle at this most difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
