Soha Ali Khan Breaks Silence On Kareena Kapoor’s Image Of ‘Industries’ Gossiper’ – EXCLUSIVE
Kareena Kapoor is one of the top actresses in the industry today, she has been ruling hearts for decades. Recently, she was seen rocking the Rohit Shetty starrer Singham Again co-starring Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Akshay Kumar, among others. She was also seen recently in Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders, a film that follows a grieving cop whose child was murdered before she ultimately moves to another town where she investigates the disappearance of a missing child. The actress shares a special relationship with her sister-in-law and actor Soha Ali Khan but their first meet was every nanad-bhabhi ever.

In an exclusive chat with Zoom, Soha shared how she and Kareena took some time to build a relationship which is now tuly unbreakable as their more friends than sister-in-laws. Talking about Bebo’s image of being the ‘gossiper’ of the film industry, Soha said, “She is definitely, definitely, a source of wealth of information that she has, I don’t know how. If I want to know something, then even at 12 o’clock I will ask her but she’s also very good and protective of her sources and she will only tell what she is willing to share. But there’s so much more about her that is so wonderful about her, there is much more than gossip.”
Recalling their first meeting, she added, “I was intimidated, I just remember my brother calling me and we were shooting something at that time, and he said, I want you to know that my girlfriend is two years younger than you or something. And I was like, okay, great. That was my introduction. And then of course you meet anybody who is a superstar, you have certain preconceptions about how they might be, and I’m not one of those people who really judges someone until you meet them. Because I’ve met enough people to know that, you must really meet them face to face to have an opinion of them. So all I thought was, okay, this is like a very famous person. But, I think, it takes time to make an impression of someone.”
Soha Recalls First Meeting With Kareena
“I really feel like that’s the first few times that we met and I didn’t get to know her, it took time. It takes time and trust and consistency, to build a relationship with some people. And I felt like it took that time between Kareena and myself. And also a few incidents that have happened over the past, maybe 10, 12 years have perhaps brought us closer together,” she concluded.
On the work front, Soha has been away from acting for some time; Kareena on the other hand, will be next seen in Daayra, directed by Meghna Gulzar. This crime drama also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran. Announced in April 2025, the film explores the themes of crime and punishment.
