LIMERICK parents have shared their concerns as Santa Claus has already started making his list and checking it twice.
Many locations across Limerick and the Mid-West region have already announced their 2025 Santa’s grottos, despite children still being on their summer holidays.
Jetland Shopping Centre, Castle Oaks House Hotel, Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, and Fitzgerald’s Woodlands House Hotel all have Santa experiences open for booking for the Christmas season.
Some announced the dates for the events, mostly taking place in November and December, in July.

“You often have to fill in what presents kids want when booking, which is likely to change at this early stage,” one concerned parent said. “It’s a lot of pressure on parents.”
Another local parent spotted an advertisement for a Santa experience in Galway in as early as January of this year.
Many of the venues do seem to be aware of the stress that the festive season can bring for parents, offering payment plans as well as refunds and rescheduling, with certain terms and conditions.
