Wealthsimple has launched a new promotion that gives out perks to customers who move money into their accounts.
The company says anyone who signs up by December 23 and deposits at least $1,000 within thirty days can get a magnetic MagSafe-compatible Wealthsimple-branded wallet for your iPhone 17. Colours will be available to choose from starting December 8 while supplies last.
The bigger rewards are tied to much larger transfers. Wealthsimple says customers who move $100,000 or more can choose an Apple device, as part of an ongoing promo. The options get more expensive as the deposit amount goes up, starting with an iPhone 17 or a MacBook Air ($100,000+) and going all the way to a bundle that includes a Studio Display, an iPhone 17 Pro and a MacBook Pro for people who move $1 million dollars (no big deal right?).
Eligible deposits include cash transfers, institutional transfers and crypto transfers from other Canadian institutions. Transfers between Wealthsimple accounts do not count. The company also says people who withdraw money and try to redeposit it to qualify can be removed from the promotion. Debit balances in margin accounts are subtracted from the total.
Wealthsimple will reimburse transfer out fees when someone brings in $25,000 or more from another institution in a single account.
