Sydney Sweeney’s striking red-carpet wardrobe has now set its eye on a new target: Marilyn Monroe. Last night, the Anyone But You star attempted to pay tribute to Monroe’s timeless white halter dress—an iconic piece in fashion history—but made sure to infuse it with her own glamazon spin.

Like Monroe’s, Sweeney’s dress had a long halter strap. Unlike Monroe’s, the ruched bodice of the custom Galia Lahav design was corseted and ultra-cinched, highlighting the actor’s cleavage and exaggerating her waistline. For some contrast, the skirt of the dress was massive and flowy, lined with white fur on the hem for a touch of holiday spirit.

Sweeney accessorized the dress with big diamond earrings, a diamond bracelet, and a bright red lip. Her blonde hair was styled in wispy waves.

Sweeney mimicked her red-carpet look for the after-party, to which she wore a silky white minidress. The piece was strapless and dotted with clumps of large white sequins that resembled little bouquets of flowers. Lacy white pumps with pointed toes, plus her same diamond jewelry and glam, completed the party fit.
