Cruz Beckham has publicly denied claims that his parents, Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham, unfollowed their eldest son, Brooklyn, on Instagram, instead revealing a far more dramatic development in the ongoing family rift.
The 20-year-old singer responded to a Daily Mail headline about the alleged unfollowing by posting on his Instagram Stories.
Hitting back furiously, he wrote: “NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son. Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.” (sic)
The revelation that Brooklyn, 26, has blocked his entire family on the social media platform marks a significant escalation in tensions between the photographer-turned-chef and his famous relatives.

The family dispute has been simmering throughout 2024, with Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz notably absent from several key Beckham occasions.
The couple failed to attend Sir David’s milestone 50th birthday celebration in May, and Brooklyn did not publicly acknowledge the occasion on social media.
Victoria’s fashion shows, traditionally attended by the whole family, have also proceeded without the eldest Beckham child present.
The estrangement appears to run both ways, with David and Victoria not attending Brooklyn and Nicola’s vow renewal ceremony.

In April, reports emerged that Brooklyn was not on speaking terms with his 23-year-old brother Romeo over the latter’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull. However, Kim, Romeo, and Cruz all dismissed the claims.
A source told Us Weekly in October that Brooklyn had “no interest” in reconciling with his family, claiming he was focused on building a “peaceful, drama-free life” with Nicola.
According to reports, the blocking was triggered by a seemingly innocuous interaction on social media.
Victoria had liked a video posted by Brooklyn in which he demonstrated beer-brining a roast chicken, explaining his technique of adding rosemary butter to the dish.

The post, which promoted a clothing brand, attracted comments from fans urging the eldest Beckham child to mend fences with his parents.
“Victoria liked this post. Yay!!! Family is everything,” one follower wrote.
Another advised the eldest Beckham: “Go cook with your Dad. Looks yummy.”
Others pleaded with Brooklyn directly, with one commenting: “Speak to your parents – only one life and it is very precious.”

However, rather than prompting reconciliation, Victoria’s public display of affection reportedly frustrated Brooklyn, leading him to block his parents, siblings Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.
Earlier this month, sources declared the family are desperate to fix the ongoing rift, but that Brooklyn had “refused” to come home for Christmas.
Insiders close to the couple disclosed that Brooklyn’s estrangement is weighing heavily on them, particularly following several significant milestones he failed to attend.
According to an insider speaking to The Sun: “His absence has really taken a toll on the special days, the knighthood, and now Christmas. It’s like the ghost of Brooklyn is hanging over their Christmas and New Year’s. Last year they were all together.”
