Two people have been taken to hospital following a serious road crash in Wexford yesterday evening.

Gardaí and emergency services continue to investigate following a serious road collision near Camolin, Co. Wexford on the evening of Sunday, December 21.

The incident which involved two cars occurred on the R772 Camolin towards Clogh, at Ballinclare shortly after 5pm.

Following the crash, a woman in her 60s has been brought to St. Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin with serious injuries.

A male driver, aged in his 40s was brought to Wexford General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The road will remain closed pending a technical examination scheduled to take place by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are currently in place.
