Musician Barry Devlin and actor Patrick Bergin were among those on hand at a pop-up event raising money for Focus Ireland.
Special T-shirts were on sale at a pop-up shop in Dundrum Town Centre in Dublin with all sales going to Focus Ireland.
The T-shirt, which reads ‘Anyone Can Become Homeless’, was designed by internationally acclaimed Irish fashion designer Helen Steele.
“I’m delighted to have had the honour of creating something special and unique for such an important cause,” Ms Steele said.
Focus Ireland CEO Pat Dennigan said: “There are 5,200 children that are facing into Christmas and the New Year in emergency accommodation.
“Somebody worked out that that is about 222 primary schools with full classes… They are growing up and trying to put their lives together from emergency accommodation.”
The project was organised by Sunday Independent journalist Barry Egan, who has put on Rock Against Homelessness in aid of Focus Ireland for the last 11 years.
The show is set to return next year, and will take place at the 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin on St Patrick’s Day.
The concert will be headlined by Sharon Shannon’s Big Band, showcasing a lineup of top Irish musicians including Alan Connor, Gerry O’Connor, and Richie Buckley
There will also be performances from Bob Geldof, Camille O’Sullivan and a number of special guests.
Sponsored by Cadbury, Arachas Insurance and the Hard Rock Cafe Dublin, the event will be hosted by Laura Whitmore.
Musician and comedian Garron Noone will also feature, along with Dublin singer Alky and singer-songwriter Colm Lynch.
Tickets for Rock Against Homelessness 2026 are on sale now via Ticketmaster, with prices ranging from €40 to €45. Phone and internet bookings are subject to 12.5pc service charge, and early bookings are advised by the organisers.
