Bonnie Ryan has announced she is expecting her first child with husband John.
The influencer turned to social media on Monday evening to share the news that she was pregnant with her first baby.
Taking to Instagram, she posted a collection of photographs showing herself embracing her growing bump and sharing a tender moment with husband John, writing: “Looks like we made it.
“We’ve waited for this moment and finally here we are and, halfway cooked! So much love, gratitude and excitement for what’s to come.”
She finished by stating: “Sending love and luck to anyone on a TTC journey.”, reports RSVP Live.
This follows Bonnie previously discussing her fertility challenges earlier this year.
During a heartfelt discussion with sister Lottie on their podcast, Bonnie spoke openly about her and husband John’s difficulties in trying for a baby and thoughtless remarks from others.
On their podcast No One Else Will Listen, Bonnie described how painful it is when people wrongly assume she and husband John are choosing not to have children.
She then disclosed that last year she discovered she cannot conceive naturally and never anticipated receiving such news.
“I didn’t plan on talking about this in the podcast last week,” Bonnie confessed.
“But once the conversation started, it just… happened. It was honest and it was real”.
Following the episode’s broadcast, both she and Lottie have received countless messages from women opening up about their own journeys and challenges. “A lot of people who I know have opened up to me to let me know they’re going through the same fertility journey,” Bonnie explained.
“I am absolutely floored by how trusting people have been with me in my DM’s, telling me their personal stories.
“I couldn’t have wanted a better reaction. Hopefully, it makes people feel less alone.
“When I shared it with our immediate family earlier this year, I took so much good from it. It was so good to have such support,” she says.
“But there is the flip side…there is a bit of stress from knowing our family is worried about me.”
Speaking out publicly, however, brought a different type of vulnerability and an unexpected feeling of relief.
“It’s nerve-racking opening up to a wider circle of people,” she admitted.
“There is something really scary about sharing my fertility journey. But I feel the biggest sense of relief since opening up about it.”
