It’s getting more and more likely that we’ll see Apple release its long-rumored iPhone Fold in the new year. A new leak from YouTuber Jon Prosser gives us our best look yet at Apple’s first foldable phone, including key specs and a stunning crease-free design that stands to change the foldable phone landscape.

In a video posted to his FrontPageTech YouTube channel shortly before Christmas, Prosser, whom Apple sued in July over iOS 26 and Liquid Glass leaks, shows off 3-D renders of what he claims the iPhone Fold will look like. The foldable iPhone, which is rumored to launch next fall alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, sports a 5.5-inch inner display and a 7.8-inch “iPad-like” display when unfolded, Prosser said. That’s smaller than the 8-inch inner display on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, but Apple could have a trick up its sleeve.

Bloomberg’s Apple insider Mark Gurman and Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Prosser said Apple has smoothed over one of the biggest pain points of foldable phones and made a truly creaseless display for the iPhone Fold. To do this, Apple’s using a “metal plate that disperses the pressure of bending the display” along with liquid metal in the smartphone’s hinge, he said.

The iPhone Fold will measure 9mm thick when closed and 4.5mm when opened. That makes it even thinner than the iPhone Air, which measures 5.6mm. Prosser said it’ll have four cameras, a C2 modem that should help optimize battery life, and two color options: black and white. Apple’s also planning to bring back Touch ID, currently unavailable on any new iPhone, which will once again be integrated into the power button at the top of the phone.

Considering the best foldables that are already on the market, such as Apple’s sure to face some steep competition whenever its iPhone Fold hits shelves. One of the most pressing questions that remains is its price tag. Apple products have never come cheap, and the iPhone Fold doesn’t look to be any different.

The iPhone Fold will cost between $2,000-$2,500, Prosser said, an estimate in line with previous reports. That could scare off would-be shoppers toward competitors like Samsung’s current flagship foldable, priced at $2,000, or the $1,800 Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

For the time being, we’ll have to wait until September 2026 for the rumored reveal of the iPhone Fold alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series. If Apple finally debuts its first foldable phone, then we’ll see how well these renders stack up to the real deal.
