The New Year fitness rush is here, as January 1 hits soon. The craze of hitting the gym, working out, increasing daily steps and eating healthy seems to get bigger each year. For those in need of a smartwatch but don’t want to splash out hundreds on an Apple or Garmin device, one deal stack will drop the price of a fitness watch to less than £5.

The Reflex Active Series 8 is a stripped-down fitness tracker, a budget option for wearers who want a simple device to track their workouts. No AI thrills or fancy phone hook-up, but it focuses on tracking activities and movement.

At £20 it’s already a fraction of the price compared to fellow fitness tracking models like Fitbit, but stacking Argos’ price with a lesser-known deals site cuts even more off. Those who buy it through TopCashback will cut the price to only £4.

The deals site pays shoppers a proportion of money back to consumers who shop through its links. It’s a great way for shoppers to make a double saving.

It is, however, only available at the surprisingly low price for new shoppers, once they sign up through this link. Those who are new members of TopCashback but existing Argos members will pay £4.83.

The Reflex Active watch is a fitness activity tracker designed to monitor workouts. A budget option for smarwatch shoppers.

New members of TopCashback will get the device for just below £5, thanks to the £15 sign-up bonus received on top of the cashback amount. This makes the affordable tracking watch a fraction of the price of rivals. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 is selling for £44 at Currys.

“Bought this a month ago to kickstart my health journey” said one shopper, who left a review of the Reflex Active Series 8 on Argos. They went on to say ‘it made a big difference to them’.

Another user highlighted some of the features: “It’s terrific, great features and easy to use. The battery life is good and can keep track of health, like heart and step count.”

Another wearer liked the size of it as they said it ‘wasn’t bulky on their wrist’. Not everyone was happy with the simple features, and the lesser-star-rated reviews mentioned a poor battery life, with one adding that the ‘charger was fiddly to use’.

For another affordable (well, model that isn’t over £100) option, Fitbits are one to consider. The Inspire 3 activity tracker is now £58.99 at Amazon, not £84.99, and comes with higher-end features compared to the Reflex Active model. Including a SpO2 Oximeter, it’s water-resistant up to 50m, and has daily sleep profiling.
