The New Year has started with a bang for one lucky Lotto player who has won a life changing prize of €1 million. Following last night’s New Year’s Eve Millionaire Raffle draw, players across Ireland are being urged to check their tickets carefully as thousands of prizes are waiting to be claimed.

The biggest prize of the night – a staggering €1 million – has officially created Ireland’s newest millionaire, however the winner’s identity remains a mystery for now. The winning ticket number is 322259.

The National Lottery has urged players to check their numbers carefully and has revealed which county the ticket was purchased in. It has been confirmed that the winning ticket was bought somewhere in Co Cavan, with the exact store location set to be announced tomorrow.

The new millionaire joins a string of recent high profile wins in Cavan, including a €17 million EuroMillions jackpot in December and a Daily Million top prize of €1 million in late November.

Also among the top prizes in last night’s draw were six €100,000 winnings, claimed by players in Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Monaghan and Tipperary, with the ticket numbers 252397, 235896, 384684, 157647, 010254 and 368386.

The winning tickets were sold at stores including SuperValu Rowlagh in Dublin, Londis in Monaghan Town, Spar in Glencar Shopping Centre, Letterkenny and Spar Inver in Tipperary Town, with two more claimed online in Cork and Dublin.

The New Year’s Eve draw had an incredible 8,500 prizes on offer. As well as the top prize of €1 million and six prizes of €100,000, there were 15 prizes of €10,000, 45 prizes of €5,000, 302 prizes of €1,000 and 8,131 prizes of €500.

National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr had the following advice for players: “What a way to ring in the New Year for a Millionaire Raffle player in Cavan who kicked 2026 off as an overnight millionaire. With 8,500 prizes on offer, we are urging all of our players who had tickets for the New Year’s Eve draw to carefully check their Raffle numbers today at www.lottery.ie where the full list of winning Raffle numbers is available.

“The biggest winners of the night, including the €1 million top prize winner and the six winners of €100,000, are advised to sign the back of their tickets and keep them safe. They should contact our Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to visit Lottery Headquarters to collect their prizes.”
