Kerry’s population officially increased by one on New Year’s Day as baby boy Louie Kurian Johns become the first baby born in the county in 2026!
The new bundle of joy was delivered happy and healthy at 3.22am on January 1 in University Hospital Kerry (UHK) to proud mom Emil Emmanuel from Tralee. Emil herself also works as a registered nurse in UHK.
The new arrival weighed in just over seven pounds with both mom and baby doing well afterwards.
