A cocaine driver was nabbed by Letterkenny Gardaí after being caught over the speed limit despite the wintry conditions of the county’s roads yesterday.
The driver was detected doing 129kph on the dual carriageway on the outskirts of Letterkenny, and subsequently pulled over by Gardaí from the Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit.
After being administered a roadside intoxicant test, the driver tested positive for cocaine and was arrested.
Donegal Gardaí are again urging motorists to never get behind the wheel whilst under the influence.
“Never take unnecessary & dangerous risks on the roads,” they said.
“Do not drive while under the influence of drugs/alcohol. Slow down.”
