O’Connell Street southbound remains closed from Cathal Brugha Street to O’Connell Bridge due to “a serious traffic incident”.
Gardaí are attending the scene after the crash, which occurred around 12:15pm in Dublin 1.
“O’Connell Street Southbound is currently closed from Cathal Brugha Street to O’Connell Bridge. Delays are expected if travelling in the area,” a spokesperson said.

Onlookers from the street shared images where they said it looked like an incident had occurred involving a bus.
The southbound side of the street and the pedestrian island were all closed off by the Spire and a bus was wrapped in garda tape with one person being lifted into an ambulance.
