The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) are appealing to the public for help in their investigations after a Red Kite, a protected bird of prey, was found to be poisoned in County Louth.

The body of the Red Kite was recovered from lands in the Dromiskin area in early August and following laboratory testing by Regional Veterinary Laboratory and the State Laboratory, it was confirmed that the bird had a currently banned pesticide present in its system.
