Baltimore is set to host a special culinary event this September, with celebrity chef Derry Clarke and restaurateur Youen Jacob cooking up a seasonal barbecue with local produce in aid of RNLI Baltimore Lifeboat.

The barbecue starts at 2pm on September 6, and features a menu devised by the two chefs. Starting with a glass of prosecco, food will include Sherkin Island oysters, wood smoked mackerel, Roaringwater Bay mussels and freshly baked breads, smoked glazed chicken, beef and veggie burgers with caramelised onions, and Toulouse sausage.

Dan Reilly’s Pig on a Spit will provide crackling and juicy pork, all accompanied by a selection of salads, coleslaws, and baked potatoes, before finishing with summer berry Eton mess.

Baltimore Sailing Club will host the event with indoor and outdoor seating options and live music.

Sponsors include The Waterfront, Bushes Bar, Derry & SallyAnne Clarke, Baltimore Sailing Club, and Barry Fitzwilliam.

Tickets cost €35 (€15 for under 12s) and are on sale from Bushes Bar, 028 20125, or drop in.
