Jessie Watt Mix 96.5 KHMX HoustonAudacy Hot AC “Mix 96.5” Houston is swapping its midday and afternoon shows as Jessie Watt moves to afternoons and Mike ‘Jagger’ Thomas heads to middays starting Thursday, January 15.

Watt has been with KHMX since January 2020 mostly serving as morning co-host before moving to middays following the exit of Jay Michaels last June. Prior to arriving in Houston, Watt spent three years as promotions coordinator and later producer at Country 99.5 WYCD Detroit. She will now be heard from 1-6pm weekdays.

Jagger 95.7 The Vibe KCHZ Kansas CityJagger had joined KHMX last year remotely hosting afternoons in addition to eventually taking on mornings at Country “106.5 The Wolf” WDAF-FM Kansas City. He previously has held roles as PD/afternoon host at Cumulus CHR “95.7 The Vibe” KCHZ Kansas City, PD of “Kiss 95.7” WKSS Hartford from 2016 to 2020 and held the dual role of Music Director of “Z100” WHTZ and night host at 103.5 WKTU New York from 2006 to 2016, while also hosting weekends at WHTZ in 2004-06 and 2017-20. Jagger has also served as MD at KZHT Salt Lake City, APD/MD of WCKZ Fort Wayne, MD of WKCI New Haven, WYOK Mobile, WEDA Birmingham and WHOT-FM Youngstown. He has also hosted the syndicated “Weekend Throwdown with Jagger” since 2001.

KHMX Brand Manager JR Ammons said in a memo, “Jessie’s personality and energy is flat-out contagious, and having her live in afternoons strengthens a critical daypart for Mix. Jagger is one of the best air personalities in the country, and this move puts him in a position where we can still take advantage of his talent as he continues to build relationships with our listeners.”

KHMX will continue to feature The Dana Cortez Show in mornings and KAMX Austin’s Sean Mack at night.
