“Unfortunately, the offender chose not to use the correct facilities for waste disposal,” she said.

“This careless and thoughtless act has forced Cumberland Council to divert valuable resources to resolve a problem that could have been easily avoided.”

She said the council took fly-tipping seriously.

“Fly-tipping is more than just an eyesore – it poses serious risks to public health and the environment, attracting vermin, polluting natural habitats, and creating hazards for the community.”
