As the flu season continues, hospitals are under large amounts of pressure.

While numbers of patients waiting on trolleys at Mayo University
Hospital has eased, high numbers remain at Galway University Hospital
and Sligo University Hospital.

Many hospitals have introduced restricted visiting times and asked
people only to attend emergency departments in cases of genuine
emergency, in an attempt to ease pressures.

has been speaking with Midwest Radio’s Scott Stephens.
